ECF Blue Ambassador Programme: Promoting Ocean Literacy in HK School Communities 

環保基金藍色大使計劃: 於香港校園推廣海洋教育

 

Funded by the Environment and Conservation Fund and the Environmental Campaign Committee, the programme enables an increasing number of schools to teach the fundamentals of marine protection. 

Ocea3C is providing an e-booklet written by expert contributors, with reliable scientific information on the essential principles ruling the Ocean. Register for our teacher-training workshop to kick start the learning  journey and tap onto the resources and support we can offer.

 

1. Teacher-training workshop

Target participants: school teachers & educators 

No. of  participants: a group of 6 to 10 teachers from any subjects

Duration: 2.5 hours 

Language: Cantonese / English

Venue: your school  

 

2. E-booklet

Compiled with 28 articles contributed by over 35+ experts in the field of marine science and sustainability, this e-booklet is a comprehensive educational resource that conveys the fundamentals of ocean literacy. This e-booklet contains 5 parts covering i) the global importance of the Ocean, ii) marine environments in Hong Kong, iii) threats and stressors, iv) solutions, and v) case studies. 

 

3. In-school seminars 

Invaluable opportunities for students to interact with e-booklet authors and hear their first-hand sharings.
